Interview with Einstein

Chris poses the question
"Einstein, being viewed as very intellegent and great thinker of our time and what do you that about GPA?"

Einstein answers:
"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."

Chris asks:
"Okay, so does GPA REALLY matter. People here state that GPA represents how much you learnt in the course and how much knowledge you have of the major at hand. Should employers look soley at this?"

Einstein answers:
"Imagination is more important than knowledge."

Chris states:
"Should I take a hard course even if I fail it and it effects my GPA?"

Einstein answers:
"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."

Chris asks:
"So what do you think of the modern education system?"

Einstein answers:
"The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education."

Chris states:
"I have seen so many people flame everybody who ask a out of the ordinary question, what do you think of this?"

Einstein answers:
"Great spirits have often encountered violent opposition from weak minds."

Chris asks:
"So what do you think about the Iraq war?"

Einstein answers:
"Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding."

Chris asks:
"Do you think that GPA (as a metric) should be fully used to indicate a success factor of an employee?"

Einstein answers:
"Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts."

Chris asks:
"So what do you think of CS graduates these days?"

Einstein answers:
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."

Chris asks:
"Should I do a phd and become a scientist, instead of aiming for just a bachelors?"

Einstein answers:
"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it."

Chris poses the question:
"So with all these new languages out and tech gear, what are your views about modern society?"

Einstein answers:
"Technological progress is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal."

Chris asks:
"What do you think of all those CS guys with inflated egos?"

Einstein answers:
"Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character."

Chris concludes:
"So as part of my final question, should I aim to be a great programmer?"

Einstein answers:
"In order to form an immaculate member of a flock of sheep one must, above all, be a sheep."

Chris:
"Thankyou for your time Prof. Einstein and your views on many of the topics that relate to these forums."
